why 1RAS has broad, in-depth experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) including Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and radar measurements and systems. RAS ELINT experience includes sorting, track correlation, Specific Emitter Identification and Tracking (SEI/SET), system distortion, equalization, and compensation techniques as well as the in-depth knowledge of the EWIR and KILTING databases. RAS is a well-known innovator in the world of EW and ELINT. In fact, the Army relied on support from RAS during development of the Aerial Common Sensor (ACS) system. Radar experience includes radar phenomena, radar signal collection and analysis, feature extraction algorithms, and real-time hardware implementations.

why 2More recently, RAS has expanded its capabilities to include new signal processing techniques for improved detection of signals-of-interest (SOIs) in noisy environments and for improved emitter classifications based upon precision measurements of Intentional Modulation on Pulse (IMOP). This has resulted in an emerging capability to transition state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms to COTS, NDI, and custom hardware.

For over 25 years, RAS has maintained a significant customer base that includes several DoD agencies and defense contractors. Air Force customers include AFRL, AIA, and ESC. Navy customers include NAVSEA, SPAWAR, and NAVAIR. AMRDEC has been an Army customer for several years. Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, BAE, Northrop Grumman, and Litton-Amecom have all been our commercial customers.why 3

Our People = Our Strength

Our personnel include an IEEE Life Fellow and an Association of Old Crows EW Technology Hall of Fame member. Our personnel have authored four books on ELINT and EW, and RAS engineers and researchers have presented training courses and defense seminars throughout the world.

RAS personnel form a close-knit team with the customer to define operational requirements, establish achievable programs, and then execute them on-time and on-budget. As required, our staff is augmented by consultants who specialize in various fields that are important in our business.
